Flowers in Death

Flowers, like us, live, grow and then they die. Even as they begin to wither and transform from the smooth, or shiny, often colourful blooms, flowers retain a certain elegance as they die off. Petals curl and the colour deepens and becomes more muted at the sam time. Community elders and experts tell us as children that the flowers die so that their material and energy can return to the ecosystem so the whole cycle can begin anew. So, there is hope for the future in that achingly beautiful bloom that is not as it once was, but is becoming what it was meant to be. Return to Gallery
